In this year’s parliamentary elections, there will be no independent candidates. Either persons representing the bloc constituted by the Party “Action and Solidary” (PAS) and the Party “Platform Dignity and Truth” together with civil society or representing the ‘corrupt bloc’ of the Democratic Party and the Party of Socialists will run in constituencies, PAS leader Maia Sandu was quoted by IPN as saying in the talk show “Politics of Natalia Morari” on TV8 channel.

Maia Sandu said she will take care to make this message heard and understood by all the voters. “The same government cannot remain in power if the people do not support it. We will not allow it to remain in power against the people’s will,” stated the politician, adding that a lot of people in Moldova are dissatisfied with the current government.

Maia Sandu noted a kind of fear induced by the behavior of the government was established in society. “The Democratic Party during the past two years managed to induce in society this state of fear, which wasn’t so powerful at the presidential elections,” she said.
