The parliamentary elections that will take place this autumn are the most important because the liberation of the country and captured state institutions can start from these elections, leader of the Party “Action and Solidarity” (PAS) Maia Sandu stated in the program “Hour of Our Unity” on 10TV channel, IPN reports.
The PAS leader said the new elections in Chisinau municipality are analyzed in the general context of the parliamentary elections. “From the perspective of the PAS, the parliamentary elections are the most important ones because the freeing of the country and the state institutions from captivity starts from there. The ensuring of independence in justice, corruption fighting and the other elements aimed at increasing people’s confidence in this country are related to the activity of Parliament, the taking over of power,” stated Maia Sandu.
The PAS leader said their party and the Party “Platform Dignity and Truth” made progress in agreeing the most important elements in constituting the bloc for the parliamentary elections. “But there are yet several elements that should be agreed,” stated Maia Sandu. She noted that these things should be clarified because, eventually, if they agree to support Andrei Nastase in the local elections, this decision will also refer to the parliamentary elections.
