Maia Sandu, who is one of the politicians with the biggest chances of winning the presidential elections accoridng to polls, said she counts on victory together with other pro-European forces. She made such a statement in an interview for IPN.
“Our major objective is to win the presidential elections, together with other authentic pro-European political forces, to remove the corrupt and anti-democratic system that is maintained by the current government and to initiate the rehabilitation and strengthening of the state institutions so that these serve all the people, as it is provided in the Constitution,” said the leader of the Party “Action and Solidarity” (PAS).
Recently, Maia Sandu signed an agreement with the leader of the Party “Platform Dignity and Truth” Andrei Nastase (PPDA) and the chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) Viorel Cibotaru so as to nominate a common candidate for President on behalf of the PAS or PPDA that will be unconditionally supported by the PLDM.
Maia Sandu noted that the missing of this opportunity will delay the change for the better even more and will make the process of recovering the state more difficult.
