The leader of the Party of Action and Solidarity Maia Sandu is the party’s candidate for the November 1 presidential elections. A decision to this effect was taken by the party’s National Political Council on July 18, IPN reports, quoting a press release of the party.
“The PAS has grown considerably during the past few years. We are more prepared, more organized and more powerful than four years ago. We bear huge responsibility towards the citizens of this country and must promote competent and courageous persons who can fight against the ruling thieves. We are ready to make effort to win the presidential elections together with Maia Sandu, who is the only candidate who can beat Igor Dodon,” said the party’s first vice president Igor Grosu.
“This nomination is an honor for me, but also huge responsibility. Our duty is to clear the country of politicians who consider Moldova is a bottomless sack from which they can steal. I’m sure that by hard work we can win these elections. Time has come for the good people who know how the country should look like to take over. Together we will work for a rich country, with untied families and happy children, in which the law is law for everyone and rules,” stated Maia Sandu.
The official launch of candidate Maia Sandu and of her electoral program will take place when the election campaign is opened officially, in September.
