Maia Sandu introduced to Education Ministry staff

Maia Sandu, the new Minister of Education, expressed her gratitude for the trust shown towards her, and promised to put in all her effort into promoting educational reforms and reaching new achievements in the field. Prime Minister Vlad Filat introduced Maia Sandu to the Ministry’s staff today, reports Info-Prim Neo. Ex-Minister of Education Mihail Sleahtitchi, currently appointed as Presidential adviser on culture, education and science, also took part in the event. Vlad Filat thanked the ex-Minister for his efforts and wished him success in his new position. Vlad Filat expressed his conviction that Maia Sandu will form a united and professional team. “The educational system will be a reformed one; one that will give our children knowledge. Our country’s children are wonderful; they show remarkable results when engaged in a good educational system. Thus, we need an educational system that would offer them the necessary platform for achievements”, said the Premier. Mihail Sleahtitchi was dismissed from his position yesterday, July 24, along with Alexei Roibu, ex-Minister of the Interior.
