Former Prime Minister Maia Sandu, chairperson of the Action and Solidarity Party, says she will not leave politics or leave the country as long as she has support and people believe in her actions. The politician maintains that from now on, given that she no longer holds any public office, she will be more concerned with the party, the members of the territorial organizations and will consolidate the PAS forces, IPN reports.
"I will not leave as long as I am supported, as long as people believe in what we do. So, as long as we have the support of the citizens, I and my colleagues will continue to fight, "said the former prime minister on " Cabinet in the Shadow "program, Jurnal TV.
The politician argues that the fact that the two leaders of the ACUM bloc, Maia Sandu and Andrei Năstase, are no longer in Parliament is of little consequence, for the group has vocal teams in the legislature that will represent them. "And we will have more time to consolidate the party, to work with our people, to work with the mayors, with the councilors at district, local level. We have time to consolidate the parties so that we can prepare for the next battle,” stressed Maia Sandu.
Furthermore, Maia Sandu says that the ACUM bloc must remain united and its components will continue to work together. "We need to win back those people who didn't go to the polls or didn't find our offer interesting enough in these elections and that's why we have said we need to strengthen the parties, to be stronger, to show that we have people who know how to manage and convince more people," emphasized the politician.
Also, Maia Sandu says the ACUM bloc will fight, from the current position, against Igor Dodon by all possible means.
On Thursday, November 14, the Parliament gave its vote of confidence to the cabinet of ministers headed by Ion Chicu and to his program of activity. The new government was supported by the vote of 62 deputies from the Socialist Party and the Democratic Party groups.
