Moldova is a country of good people, of people who work honesty and do not steal from the neighbor’s pocket and do not make money by profiting from someone else’s sorrows, says Maia Sandu’s first message after her investiture as President of the Republic of Moldova a day earlier. “No matter what political preferences you have, what native language you speak, of what ethnic group you form part, I promise you I will respect you all. I’m your President and you can bank on me,” says Maia Sandu’s message addressed to the people that is quoted by IPN.
President Sandu noted that she steps onto the path of improvements with confidence. ”I count on the upright people working in public institutions. You should know that you can bank on me as I will support those who do their job. I will ask from institutions nothing else but what the citizens ask from me – to work honestly, each day,” runs the message.
Maia Sandu thanked her supporters for their confidence and said that she felt the kindness, hopes and optimism of the citizens for a better future on the investiture day. “We should support each other, but should also look after each other and avoid large assemblies to the extent to which this is possible. I promise we will have multiple occasions to come together, to rejoice together, to be close. I have big plans for our country, but I cannot implement them alone. I need your assistance, dear Moldovans! We need each other to bring things in order and to build a good country for everyone. Our struggle against the corrupt persons will not be easy, but I tell you with confidence and responsibility that we win this struggle.”
According to the official, Moldova is the country of good people and everyone succeeds in such a country. “This is the creed for which we will work together during the next four years! This is my commitment to you, which I make with the open heart and standing.”
