The Party “Action and Solidarity” (PAS) will make a common front with the parties of the center-right in the presidential elections so as to later obtain early legislative election, the party’s head Maia Sandu stated in the talk show “Politics” on TV 7 channel, IPN reports.

Maia Sandu said they agreed with the leader of the Platform “Dignity and Truth” Andrei Nastase to field a common candidate for the presidential elections, but they haven’t yet agreed a candidate.

“Our goal is to obtain early parliamentary elections. That’s why we decided to put forward a common candidate. We will choose a candidate by August. The most important thing is for the elections to be won by a politician from the opposition, who would cause early elections. The people can no longer tolerate the ruling political class,” stated Maia Sandu.

PAS deputy head Sergiu Musteata in the same program said that the person who will be chosen to run in the presidential elections must not obligatorily be a party leader. “It is not mandatory for this candidate to be Maia Sandu or Andrei Nastase. The main thing is for the candidate to be a common one and to be a good one so as to win the presidential elections,” he stated.

Sergiu Musteata also said that the PAS will do its best for the designated person to win the elections. ”We will go from home to home and will speak to each person apart and will explain to the people why they must vote for the candidate of the opposition as we can no longer go on with such a political class,” he noted.
