The leader of the Party “Action and Solidarity” (PAS) Maia Sandu does not rule out the possibility that she will compete for the post of mayor of Chisinau municipality. The politician made such a statement in the talk show “In Depth” on PRO TV Chisinau channel, IPN reports.
“We will discuss the issue inside the team and will see. I do not have such plans, but I do not rule out such a possibility. We will see what’s the best variant,” said Maia Sandu.
The PAS leader also said that the referendum to dismiss Dorin Chirtoaca from the post of mayor initiated by the Party of Socialists should be boycotted. “To avoid additional costs, the current mayor should probably resign so that local mayoral elections could be held, but not in the way Dodon and Plahotniuc want by playing with the referendum,” stated the politician.
As to the 2018 parliamentary elections, Maia Sandu said she will take part in these in a partnership with the Party “Platform Dignity and Truth”.
