All those who share the European values should unite now as the split within the mixed electoral system would bring benefits especially to the Party of Socialists, head of the Party “Action and Solidarity” (PAS) Maia Sandu stated in the program “The Truth” on 10TV channel, IPN reports.
Maia Sandu does not rule out the possibility that she could form an electoral bloc with representatives of the unionists, including the party of Traian Basescu. “When we have the mechanisms finalized, we will familiarize the other partners with them and will discuss with all those who want to join in,” said the PAS leader.
Maia Sandu noted this could be an electoral bloc that would involve representatives from a number of parties. “It would be a competition between the people from the PAS, those from the PPDA and from other political parties who would show that they are upright and do not have ties with the ruling party or oligarchic parties and, respectively, with the anti-European parties,” said the politician.
According to the PAS leader, they are ready to discuss with all the parties, including the Liberal Party. “If the Liberal Party has honest people who want to go through the integrity filters created by the PAS together with the PPDA and will want to enter the competition based on the assessment of merits, we are open to everyone,” she stated.
