“We will clean up the presidential administration and will then clean up Parliament. We will identify legal methods by which to induce snap parliamentary elections so that people who represent the citizens enter Parliament,” PAS candidate for President Maia Sandu stated after having a discussion with Renato Usatyi, IPN reports.
Maia Sandu addressed all the electors, including those who voted for the Our Party’s candidate Renato Usatyi. “You want corruption to be rooted out, the thieves to be punished and the country to be freed from Dodon. We want this too. We can do this with your support,” the politician posted on Facebook.
On Facebook Live yesterday evening, Renato Usatyi said the snap parliamentary elections are his goal. “The current Parliament is non-representative. I hope that tomorrow, after I discuss with Missis Maia Sandu, we will call on the citizens to come to the Great National Assembly Square and this Parliament should be dissolve by the first presidential decree,” stated the politician.
In the November 1 presidential elections, Maia Sandu emerged victorious with 36.16% of the vote, being followed by incumbent President Igor Dodon with 32.61% of the ballot. The two are to contend in the runoff vote.
