Independent candidate for President Maia Laguta said the recent events that happened on the political arena are nothing but games, while the suggestions that particular candidates have biggest chances of winning the elections are simply an attempt to manipulate the voters. In a news conference, the activist said she is the only resistant candidate who is supported by the people, IPN reports.
According to Maia Laguta, her opponents are the followers of the corrupt system of this country, while she is a real candidate of the people, who always struggled for the rights of the people. As to her opponent Maia Sandu, she said that even if this asserts that she fights corruption, she is actually the one who generated this phenomenon, including when she held the post of minister of education.
Maia Laguta noted she was offered to join the government system, but she refused. As regards the withdrawal of Marian Lupu from the race for the presidency, Laguta said this is a move aimed at confusing the voters.
