MAI and Dinamo athletes awarded 3000 lei

The athletes employees of the Ministry of the Interior (MAI) and members of the Central Sports Club Dinamo, who represented Moldova at the London Olympics, received 3000 lei and a mobile phone each, in addition of special symbolic cup with their images, Info-Prim Neo learned from a press release of the MAI. Senior coach of the Carbineer Troops Department Petru Caduca was awarded the Merit Cross, 2nd class, of the MAI. Six of the MAI employees who participated in the Olympics were advanced in rank. Minister of the Interior Dorin Recean congratulated the sportsmen and their coaches for their attitude, for proving that victory is possible regardless of conditions and allotted resources. “We kept the right attitude to fight, to win and to obtain these results. I want to thank you for these results, which are not personal, but for all of us, for the whole society”, said Dorin Recean. Head of the National Olympic Committee Nicolae Juravschi declared that the athletes and their coaches were true patriots, people who represent Moldova and who don’t give up in front of difficulties and aren’t afraid regardless of the adversaries. The Olympic Games took place between July 27 and August 12, 2012, in London, Great Britain.
