The European Action Movement (MAE) considers the member parties of the Alliance for European Integration (AEI) should form an electoral bloc in the future legislative elections. “Only this way, can the political crisis be overcome in Moldova,” the MAE leader Veaceslav Untila said in a press briefing on September 7, quoted by Info-Prim Neo.
The MAE thanked all the people who voted in the referendum and assured them that their effort is not useless. He stressed that it is a mistake to blame the people for the poor voter turnout.
MP Veaceslav Untila called upon the Democratic parties not to make plans how to win seats in Parliament and not to dream of posts of President, but to show strength of character. “On July 29, 2009, we paved the way for democratic changes in Moldova. We were united and brought about changes. An electoral bloc should be created in the future so as to unite the Democratic forces,” said the MAE leader.
Veaceslav Untila blamed two ruling parties for the failure of the referendum. “Two parties of the governing alliance did not work enough,” said Untila, without giving names.
