The event is organized following the signing of an agreement of partnership for mutually promoting local producers between Iasi municipality, the Chamber of Trade and Industry of Moldova, the Bilateral Moldova-Romania Chamber of Trade and Industry and MIEPO at the beginning of November.

Trade between Moldova and Romania in the first ten months of 2016 came to about US$750 million. Exports rose by 6.8% compared with the same period last year, while imports decreased by 9.8%.
