The exhibition “Made in Moldova” held at Moldexpo, where over 300 companies displayed their products, is closing its program. Tamara Luchian, director general of SA “Ionel”, has told Info-Prim Neo that the visitors of the exhibition approved of the new garment collection of the company. “Ionel” took part in all the “Made in Moldova” exhibits, the current one being the 12th. This year they presented a collection of 82 items of clothing, which includes suits, jackets, and trousers for ladies, men and children. Privatized in 2012 (the state holding of over 90% being sold for 51 million lei), Viorica-Cosmetic exhibited products made before privatization. Marketing Division head Ion Turcanu said they are working on a new strategy and a series of new products will be launched in the second half of the year. The products will be sold on the home market and exported. Victoria Rotari, who runs a private company, said the participation in this exhibition is a chance for the small companies to promote their products and to find clients. “It is hard. Competition is stiff, broth from importers and from larger national companies. But we try to be flexible and propose new products, as for example bedlinen with the pictures wanted by the client,” said the businesswoman. She also said that the inspections remain the only method of interaction between the state institutions and the small entrepreneurs and this is regrettable. Pavel Axenti, director of the Calarasi-based company “Codreanca”, said their district took part in the exhibit with a common stand. At least 10 economic entities working in different sectors of the economy are functional, promote new ideas and create new workplaces. ”Made in Moldova” is organized by the Government in partnership with the Chamber of Trade and Industry and other institutions. This year the event was held between January 30 and February 2.
