More than 300 economic entities are taking part in the 11th “Made in Moldova” exhibition that was opened at Moldexpo. In the exhibit’s opening, Gheorghe Cucu, chairman of the Chamber of Trade and Industry, said that “Made in Moldova” for the national producers represents a platform for launching goods and services and for attracting investments, Info-Prim Neo reports. “Within the exhibition, there are summed up the results of the previous entrepreneurial year, analyzed the accomplishments and emphasized the problems faced by the business community. We can say that this exhibition represents a barometer of the changes taking place in economy,” said Gheorghe Cucu. Attending the opening, Prime Minister Vlad Filat said 2011 was a year when the country’s economy coped with the challenges, first of all owing to the steps taken and effort made by the business circles. “We obtained a healthy economic growth, which was principally due to the rise in exports. This shows that Moldova has potential and prospects. We will work further and continue the activities. We hope we will need larger exhibition areas for “Made in Moldova” in the future,” he stated. The additional program of the exhibit includes seven seminars that will center on marketing problems, trade with the EU, and social insurance. There will be also five presentations of companies. The traditional Job Fair will present the offers of 20 companies. The results of the Trademark of the Year Contest will be announced on February 2. The current contest involved 86 trademarks. The exhibition “Made in Moldova” is organized by the Chamber of Trade and Industry in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy, under the aegis of the Government. It will continue until February 4.
