The Government of Macedonia offers Moldova to reciprocally abrogate the visa regime for the citizens of both of the states, said Macedonia’s Ambassador to Moldova with residence in Bucharest Pande Lazarevski, who had a meeting with President Nicolae Timofti, IPN reports, quoting the presidential press service.

The head of state pleaded for the intensification of the bilateral relations for the benefit of both of the states. “The common objective to join the EU will contribute to developing reciprocal cooperation at all the levels and will facilitate the exchange of experience concerning the integration into the European Community,” stated Nicolae Timofti.

He voiced confidence that the opening of Moldova’s Honorific Consulates in Strumita, in March 2013, and in Skopje, in May 2014, will deepen the political, commercial and cultural relations between the two states.

Pande Lazarevski said the Macedonian businessmen are interested in organizing a Moldovan-Macedonian economic forum that would contribute to fostering bilateral trade.

In the meeting, the sides agreed to make more high-level bilateral visits.
