MA scholarships for Moldovan civil servants

The Government and the Educational Advising Center have launched the MA scholarship program that is intended for young civil servants from Moldova. The MA scholarships, Option II, are provided within the professional training and development program, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to a communiqué from the Educational Advising Center, the scholarships within Option II are granted for studies for a Master’s Degree to civil servants who will individually apply for MA programs at universities in the EU member states, except Romania, the U.S., Canada, Norway, and Switzerland. The young people pledge to return to Moldova after completing the studies for occupying the previous post or a new post within the public administration bodies for at least three years. The aim of the scholarship program is to facilitate the process of improving the level of knowledge and expertise of civil servants within the central and local public administration, who are involved in the achievement of responsibilities in the elaboration/coordination/implementation of public policies, strategic planning and authorities’ management. The candidates must have a length of service in the public service of at least 12 months by the June 25 deadline. The program is implemented by the Government of Moldova and the Educational Advising Center, with financial support from the Emergency Fund of the Open Society Institute.
