Luxembourgian official visiting Moldova

Jean Asselborn, vice prime-minister of the Great Duchy of Luxembourg and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, pays an official visit to Moldova on July 11-12, 2007 on the invitation of his Moldovan counterpart Andrei Stratan. The head of the Luxembourgian diplomacy will meet with President of Moldova Vladimir Voronin, Speaker of Parliament Marian Lupu, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Andrei Stratan, as well as with the representatives of EU and OSCE to Moldova. During his visit it is planned to sign an intergovernmental Convention on avoiding double taxation and preventing income tax dodging. Moldova established diplomatic relations with the Great Duchy of Luxembourg on June 16, 1992. On June 19, 2007, a delegation of Moldova, headed by the president paid a visit to Luxembourg to participate in the Reunion of the Cooperation Council Moldova-EU.
