Lugoj authorities donated a valuable lot of books to Nisporeni Library

The Guinness Book, Larousse dictionaries, different encyclopedias, dictionaries, books of George Calinescu, Mireca Eliade, Ion Luca Caragiale, the whole poetry collection of Mihai Eminescu, Ioan Slavici, Marin Preda, Liviu Rebreanu – are only a few of those 263 titles of books which the public administration of Lugoj town, Romania, has donated to the administration of Nisporeni town.
The Mayor of Nisporeni, Victor Rusu, told Info-Prim Neo that the lot of books was recently brought by the head of the Bureau for European Integration of Lugoj Mayoralty, Liviu Savescu. This lot could have been valuable even for the National Library if taking into consideration its cultural value.
According to Rusu, friendship relations with the mayoralty of Lugoj was established in 2001 when a collaboration agreement was signed. The Mayor of Lugoj, Marius Martinescu has actively involved himself in implementing it. During this period, different delegation, artists exchange programs were performed. The Mayor of Lugoj, who became an Honorable Citizen of Nisporeni town promised to offer a lot of books amounting to EUR 11 thousand, to give the possibility to 30 children to rest in the summer camps of Lugoj and to 12 children from Nisporeni to study in the lyceums of this town. He also promised to matriculate 5 graduates from Chisinau to the European University “Iosif Dragan” from Lugoj, with accommodation and meal included.
Those 30 children going to Lugoj met at the Leuseni-Albita customs point with the delegation of this town which was delivering the donation of books to the inhabitants of Nisporeni.
