A lower tax will be charged for issuing an extract in the form of an electronic document ordered through web applications and generated automatically. This will be by 20% lower than the rate set for the maximum period for providing the given service, IPN reports.

A decision drafted by the Public Services Agency says that in its efforts to develop services, including by using the common e-government services infrastructure, within the project implemented together with the e-Governance Agency, the possibility of generating automatically, in real time, extracts from the State Transport Register and the State Register of Vehicle Drivers for particular types of information was ensured.

Currently, the taxes for services for issuing extracts from information resources of the Public Services Agency depend on the period during which the service is provided. In the case of extracts available for automatic generation, the possibility of choosing the service provision period will be excluded.

The tax for an extract from the State Population Register asked by a private individual varies from 90 to 450 lei, depending on the service provision period. If the extract is ordered online in the form of an electronic document that is generated by involving the back office operator, a lower tax (-20%) of 70 to 360 lei is applied, depending on the period. For an electronic extract from the State Population Register, it is proposed applying a fixed rate of 70 lei – the reduced tax for the maximum period for providing the given service.

The draft decision is to be examined and approved by the Cabinet.
