Consumption on the right bank of the Nistru River on Friday is expected to be by 3% lower than on Thursday. According to Energocom, the graph drawn up based on the forecasts of producers and distributors shows a lower consumption during peak hours, IPN reports.

Also, for January 17, renewable power plants and parks are expected to produce twice as much energy as the previous day.

In order to meet the domestic electricity needs, Energocom reserved commercial capacity at the border with Romania for imports.

At the same time, the Government's crisis cell informed that for today, the electricity demand on the right bank of the Nistru River for Friday is fully met. Energocom reserved the commercial capacity at the border with Romania in order to supplement domestic production with imports.

From January 15, the energy sources used for the right bank were as follows:

The highest consumption was recorded between 05:00 p.m. and 08:00 p.m. - 1,012 MW, approximately 20 MW above the forecast plan. At 06:30 p.m., consumption exceeded the plan by 2%, and at 08:30 p.m. the exceedance was 3.3% compared to the forecast value.

Consumers are urged to save electricity during peak hours - 07:00-11:00 and 18:00-23:00 – so as to have lower bills and to ensure the stability of the electricity system.

In the Transnistrian region, scheduled power cuts of five hours continue once a day. Over 80% of the electricity for the left bank is produced by MGRES/Kuchurgan Power Plant, and the rest is provided by the Dubăsari Hydropower Plant and from technological flow.
