Lovelorn girl swallows soap in suicide attempt

A female student, 16, tried to kill herself by swallowing a soap bar in her Chisinau dorm room on Wednesday night, but when she felt sick the girl called an ambulance, Info-Prim Neo reports. Silvia Babara, doctor coordinator at the Chisinau Emergency Service, assumed the girl attempted suicide because of a romantic disappointment, quite common at this age. The student is now recovering at the Mother & Child Center. On Wednesday, the Chisinau Emergency Service responded to 761 calls, including 141 cases of acute viral infections.
