Everyone has a separate reason that makes one want to learn a new language. Eugen Furtuna, a Russian-speaking young man, confessed that he intended to study Romanian long ago, but took the first determined step only when he fell in love.
He met Cristina a year ago. She was the girl he was dreaming of, but could not tell her what he felt for her as he hardly could say something in Romanian, while the girl did not know Russian.
Things became more difficult when time came to meet the girl’s parents and friends. “Sometimes I really felt frustrated. I often wanted to say something, but words failed me-,” said the young man.
One day, when he was going home, he saw an announcement about Romanian language courses and did not hesitate to enroll in them. After a period, impressed by Eugen’s gesture, Cristina started to attend Russian language courses.
The young persons got engaged and dream to be together. They say they will speak both Russian and Romanian when they have children.
