Lose your window films or lose your plates, motorists told

Motorists driving cars with tinted front ant front-side windows risk losing their plates, warned Mihai Cebotaru, a senior police officer, during a news conference on Tuesday, April 29. According to him, the interdiction comes in the wake of a higher number of traffic accidents caused by the practice of tinting car windows. One is six traffic accidents that occurs in the country is the result of driving vehicles with tinted windows, Cebotaru pointed out. The police official went on to add that motorists shall have one month to meet the new requirements of the Traffic Regulations, which were approved by the Government on April 25. At the same news conference, Cebotaru told reporters that during Easter Holidays (April 26, 27 and 28) there were committed 153 law-breakings in the country, including 6 sex offenses. There were also recorded 24 road accidents, which claimed 4 lives and injured 18 persons.
