Localities’ development possibilities discussed with PM in Glodeni

The authorities will further prioritize projects that bring direct benefits to the people of the Republic of Moldova, including those that can be accessed following the obtaining of the EU candidate status, Prime Minister Dorin Recean stated at a meeting with representatives of local public authorities of Glodeni district. They also discussed the possibilities of developing Moldova’s cities and villages according to the European model, IPN reports.

Premier Recean stressed the importance of the necessary preparation for assimilating the European funds that will change the localities in Moldova, underscoring also the Government’s actions for the development of localities and for supporting the businesspeople.

“We have two priorities: access to water and sanitation, and roads or mobility between localities. We have programs that facilitate namely these investments - the main networks are financed within regional projects, while the distribution networks - through the governmental program “European Village”. The extension of the project we have together with our friends from Romania so as to bring even better and cheaper water from Romania, to make it available including here, in Glodeni, is another examined solution,” stated Dorin Recean.

The official also visited the repaired 7 km section of the G 24 road, Petruseni village - Camenca village. The road ensures connection between the district and the villages of Butesti, Brânzeni, Molești, Camenca, Petrușeni, and with the Costesti-Stanca customs post and the tourist routes Suta de Movile, Pădurea Domnească and Cheile Butești.

Also in Glodeni, Dorin Recean visited the cherry and apricot orchard of entrepreneur Valeriu Gheorghita, in Cobani village. The Prime Minister approved of the integration of new technologies and modern infrastructure by the farmer, who built underground irrigation, has a water storage reservoir and a pumping station.

The official also discussed the importance of high-quality education and the benefits of the European integration for the future of the country with students and teachers of “Vasile Coroban” Theoretical Lyceum. He highlighted the need to involve the young people in the development of society and encouraged them to continue their studies at universities in Moldova. “We need as many young specialists as possible to develop the country and integrate it into the big European family,” said Dorin Recean.
