Local authorities will have professional holiday

The Local Autonomy and Local Public Administration Worker’s Day will be marked in Moldova on February 1. A decision to this effect was taken by the Government on February 8, at the suggestion of Prime Minister Vlad Filat, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Premier said that the representatives of the local public administration deserve such a holiday. As to the chosen date, Vlad Filat reminded that on February 1, 1998 Moldova signed the Council of Europe’s European Charter of Local Self-Government.
