The local public authorities are to allocate up to 10% of the money transferred to them from the state budget for preparing the budget-funded institutions for the cold season. Simultaneously, they will transfer at least 20% of their own revenues to a special treasury account. The decision was made at the last meeting of the Government, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Ministry of Finance will also transfer at least 20% of its incomes to the account to cover the costs of running of the energy and water supply and sewerage systems of the public institutions. The money will be transferred from September 1, 2009. Special attention is paid to the energy saving and conservation measures and measures aimed at increasing energy efficiency, said Deputy Minister of Economy Sergiu Sainciuc. A number of 963 new sources of thermal energy became functional during the last few years after implementing different projects. Over 300 million lei was spent on them from the state budget.
