Local Administration Ministry announces contest to select NGOs for Regional Development Councils

The Ministry of Local Public Administration has announced a contest to select the nongovernmental organizations that, alongside local authorities and the private sector, will form the Northern, Central and Southern Regional Development Councils (RDC), Info-Prim Neo reports.
Eligible are the organizations with a minimum experience of three years in promoting partnerships and in implementing social and economic development projects, financed by international donors. The applicants must prove relevant qualifications for regional development.
Advantages will be the experience in activities related to local and regional development, in implementing cross-region and/or cross-border projects, as well participation in the activities of the TACIS project “Support to local authorities in implementing regional development in Moldova”, as members of the regional strategic planning group.
Interested NGOs are invited to submit to the Ministry a letter of motivation, information about the organization and the resume of the person who will represent the organization in the RDC. The deadline for submissions is 11 April 2008.
