Live music with instruments powered by solar panels at Sunday Fest

Eco technologies and a live music concert with instruments powered by solar energy could be seen by those who will visit the Sunday Fest in the central park of Chisinau on June 10. The event includes exhibitions, workshops and different presentations, IPN reports.

The program of the festival consists of expiations of renewable energy production technologies, photovoltaic panels, solar collectors, biomass boilers and geothermal pumps. The visitors could see the testing and powering of electrical transport, such as cars, bicycles and gyroboards. There will be presented innovations of young people, such as wind turbines built from recyclable materials, parabolic aerials covered with mirrors, an automated intelligent home, an elevator with low power consumption, equipment for producing methane gas from organic substances, a bus station powered by photovoltaic panels, etc.

There will be staged waste recycling workshops and experiments to make renewable energy from citrus fruit and pickled cucumbers, a fair of naturist products and workshops on environmentally friendly eating.

The festival will end with a live music concert that will involve the bands Alex Calancea Band & Rupt, The Glimpse, Flash Blood, Dandies, Delta pe Obraz and Tamala, which will play musical instruments powered by solar panels.

Sunday Fest is organized by the EU-funded Moldova Energy and Biomass Project that is implemented by UNDP and the Energy Efficiency Agency.
