The State Tax Service launched the first number of the publication “Fiscal Monitor FISC.md”. Nicolae Platon, chief of the State Main Tax Inspectorate, told a news conference that the journal aims to make the State Tax Service’s official position on the fiscal legislation and its implementation known to the taxpayers, central and local public authorities and fiscal employees. This position will be reflected in the rubrics “Documents and Comments”, “Questions and Answers”, and “Fiscal Practice”, Info-Prim Neo reports. “The presentation of the official position of the State Tax Service represents the main objective of the journal. We want to improve our relations with all the taxpayers so that they are based on mutual respect. We want to find out their opinion on a number of problems concerning the fiscal policy and administration,” said Nicolae Platon. He also said that the journal will include the list of phantom companies identified by the State Tax Service so that the economic entities know them. There will be also published the list of taxpayers with debts to the state budget and the list of inspections planned to companies so as to ensure greater transparency in the relations between the Tax Service and the economic entities. Initially, the journal will appear once in two months, while from 2012 every month. At the Moldpresa kiosks, the publication is available for 59 lei, while by subscription – for 55 lei. Vitalie Coceban, director of the state-run company Fiscservinform, said the journal will be accessible in electronic format towards the end of the year. The online journal is prepared in concert with the USAID/BIZTAR Project, which helped issue the first paper number. Project director Douglas Muir said the relations between the State Tax Service and the taxpayers should be European like and USAID/BIZTAR will continue to assist the Service to achieve this objective.
