The announcement by Russia’s food safety watchdog Rospotrebnadzor of the seven Moldovan wine businesses that can export wine to the Russian Federation does not mean that the list cannot be extended, said Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Eduard Grama. According to him, the inspection process is long-lasting and more companies could be yet accepted.

Contacted by IPN, the minister said they received no official notice from the Russian side, but the information published on the website of Rospotrebnadzor shows that seven of the 13 inspected wine companies will be able to export their products to Russia.

The seven companies are: Cricova, Chateau Vartely, Castel Mimi, Lion-Gri, Moldiugvin, the Tiraspol-based wine and cognac factory KVINT, and Kazayak-Vin. The last two were re-inspected with the aim of extending the range of exported products.
