The Party of Action and Solidarity’s candidate for mayor of Chisinau Lilian Carp cast his ballot. He told journalists that he voted for normality as this should be restored in the municipality of Chisinau, IPN reports.

“I voted for a more comfortable city in which projects are implemented not carelessly to reveal the existing faults when the first rain comes. I voted for a city with well laid out yards and for a city in which we have public transport whenever we need,” stated the PAS candidate.

Moldovan voters are to choose 898 mayors and 11,058 local councilors today. Elections in the constituency are considered valid if at least 1/4 of the persons put on voter rolls cast their ballots there.

Polls close at 9 p.m.
