Two men aged 36 and 20 were sentenced to life imprisonment by the Calarasi Court for burglary, murder of three persons and persuasion of a minor to commit offences, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the press service of the General Prosecutor’s Office, the minor aged 17, who is the brother of one of the two convicts, was sentenced to 12 years and 6 months in jail for burglary and premeditated murder.
The prosecutors said that on April 17, 2008, the man aged 36, his female partner and the two brothers, all under the influence of alcohol, entered the territory of the Calarasi Forestry Center. They beat the guard with a pitchfork and stole property worth 5,000 lei. Suffering severe injuries, the man died.
Later, prompted by the 36-year-old man, the two brothers killed the female partner of the guard and buried her near a precipice. The two also entered the house of a resident of Cioresti village in Nisporeni district and beat the owner of the house. After hitting him with an ax, the man died, the communiqué from the General Prosecutor’s Office says.
According to the prosecutors, the three offenders have been earlier tried several times.
The 23-year-old female partner of the man aged 36, who looks after three minors, was found guilty of burglary, but was amnestied under the law on amnesty valid since 2008, which was declared the Year of Youth.
