The season opens with an absolute premiere – the play “Magic Flute” by Mozart. The theater’s artistic director Titus Jucov said that “Licurici” opens a jubilee season – the 65th. But before, the troupe will go to the International Dramatic and Puppet Theater Festival that starts in the Belarusian town of Brest on September 8. “After we open the season, we will go to the Ukrainian town of Simferopol at the start of October. There, we will participate in a new festival and will celebrate together the jubilee of the Simferopol Theater, which turns 70 years this year,” Jucov said. Towards the end of November- the start of December, the National Puppet Theater “Licurici” will go to Bucharest to present the play “Magic Flute”. Titus Jucov also said that the theater intends to put on several plays closer to the New Year. But they will remain a surprise that will be revealed the next year, when “Licurici” will celebrate 65 years of the foundation and will organize the International Puppet Theaters Gala “Licurici 65”.
