Driving licenses issued in Moldova and the United Arab Emirates will be mutually recognized. The executive today approved the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of the United Arab Emirates on mutual recognition and conversion of licenses, IPN reports.
"The given treaty is of major importance to enhance the support of diaspora citizens, including by making appropriate efforts to establish and promote bilateral relations with the UAE and strengthen them in the segment of driving license conversion," said Alexandru Bejan, State Secretary at the Ministry of Interior.
The Republic of Moldova has also signed treaties on mutual recognition of driving licenses with Israel, Turkey, Albania, Spain, Lithuania, France, the Hellenic Republic, and with Germany - a declaration on the transcription of driving licenses.
