License fee for running casinos to double

The license fee for managing casinos with up to six gambling tables will be 360,000 lei for every table. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Valeriu Lazar said it was a legislative initiative put forward by Parliament and the Government approved it, Info-Prim Neo reports. Last year, the license fee was halved to 180,000 lei. The social impact of such a move was minimum compared with the effect on the budget. Therefore, it was proposed restoring the previous fee, the minister said.
