Libraries will promote European values through reading within national campaign

The National Library of the Republic of Moldova has announced the launch of the national campaign “September no day without reading” as part of the seventh edition of the LecturaCentral National Program. The institutions of the National System of Libraries and librarians during September will focus their efforts on intensively promoting knowledge of European values through reading, IPN reports.

This month, library users have the opportunity to participate in activities organized by libraries according to the provisions of the national competitions staged by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Moldova within the cultural project LecturaCentral National Program 2024, the National Library has said.

According to the regulations, a series of contests will be held, such as “The most active reader”, “The most original project to promote books and reading, including with the help of technologies”, “The light around the book: the most original reading club”, “The most original program/project to promote family reading”, “The most original program/project to promote European values".

The deadline for submitting the information files for participation in the evaluation of the national competitions is October 1 this year.
