The parliamentary group of the Liberal Party (PL) will not vote for the censure motion against the Government of the Alliance for European Integration 3. A decision to this effect was taken by the PL’s Political Bureau in the evening of October 27, IPN reports.

“The Political Bureau of the Liberal Party decided that the Liberal MPs will attend the October 29 plenary sitting of Parliament, where the censure motion against the Government of the AEI 3 will be debated, but will not take part in the voting,” it is said in a press release of the party.

Another party of the ruling alliance, the Democratic Party (PDM), hasn’t yet made public its decision on the issue. Recently, Head of Parliament Andrian Candu, who is the deputy chairman of the PDM, said that even if he is for maintaining the AEI 3, the party could vote in favor of the censure motion submitted by the Socialist and Communist MPs in particular conditions.

The group of three unaffiliated MPs, led by the leader of the European People’s Party (PPEM) Iurie Leanca, also hasn’t yet taken a decision, but announced that this will depend on the results of the negotiations they hold with members of the Liberal-Democratic parliamentary group. “The PPEM cannot form a coalition only with the PL and PDM. We will not have a majority of votes in Parliament. But I know that there are very honest persons in the PLDM. It’s not a secret that we have discussions with many of them over their joining of the PPEM. I call on them again. A serious re-formation of the pro-European ruling alliance is needed,” Iurie Leanca said in a TV program.
