Representatives of the Liberal Reformist Party (PLR) made a call for national solidarity by which they urge the people to vote for a prosperous future and against the imperial past. According to them, the joint candidate of the center-right opposition Maia Sandu represents the generation of trained young people, while the Party of Socialists’ candidate Igor Dodon is the representative of the current oligarchic system, IPN reports.

According to the PLR members, the two candidates represent political forces that are diametrically opposed by ideology, geopolitical orientation and social, economic and political organization of the state. PLR leader Ion Hadarca said the historical course of Moldova depends on the results of the November 13 runoff elections.

Ion Hadarca noted that Igor Dodon is the representative of the Russian and Soviet imperial past and of the corrupt power that keeps the state captive. “The massive vote against Dodon will mean complete separation from the devastating past that keeps us in the morass of class and nation hatred that destroys the life of the generation tormented by the Communists and kills the future of the young generation,” he said, reading the PLR call.

The calls says that Maia Sandu represents the generation of young people who are ready to destroy the heavy chains of the past that not only keep the country stagnant, but also pull it back forcefully. “On November 13, our solidary vote, of the conscious people, must give Europe and the world a clear signal that the people of the Republic of Moldova can fight corruption and can follow with dignity the path of European integration on which they set out,” reads the call.

The members of the PLR said the people of Moldova are now put in the situation to choose between good and evil, between lie and truth.  Maia Sandu represents the Republic of Moldova by her courage in the fight against injustice.
