Liberal MP Ana Gutu intends to vote for Vlad Filat as Prime Minister, the Liberal Party chairman Mihai Ghimpu said after the April 12 sitting of Parliament, IPN reports.

Mihai Ghimpu told the journalists that on March 5, when the lawmakers passed the censure motion against the Government, Ana Gutu wanted to mount the rostrum and say that Vlad Filat is a good Premier.

The Liberal leader said he found out that signatures are being collected in favor of his dismissal from the post of chairman of the PL. “I understood that offers are being made to the Liberal MPs. My colleagues are afraid of losing the seat and thus neglect such quality as honesty,” he stated.

The Filat Government fell in a no confidence vote in Parliament on March 5. The censure motion was passed by the votes of the lawmakers of the PCRM, PDM and the unaffiliated MPs. Mihai Ghimpu said then that the PL would have voted for the motion if it hadn’t been put forward by the PCRM.
