The Liberal Party (PL) is not thinking about early elections and wants the ruling alliance to be kept, but without the old ‘vices’. The creation of an alliance between the PDM, PLDM and the unaffiliated lawmakers would be a shameful and desperate scenario because an alliance formed without the PL would be a coalition against the Moldovan people, Liberal MP Valeriu Munteanu said during the program “In Depth” on Pro TV channel over the phone, IPN reports.
The Liberal said the negotiations to re-form the alliance take place in a different way than the Liberals anticipated. “We wanted the negotiations to be based on the creation of a parliamentary majority. We, the Liberals, asked for assurances and guarantees for forming a majority because our confidence faded away. We wanted institutionalized mechanisms and guarantees that the telephone law will no longer work in Moldova. Vlad Filat must not repent before us,” Valeriu Munteanu said.
According to him, the guarantees can be obtained by institutionalizing the decision making mechanisms, which were violated steadfastly. “We took a clear decision, but the decision of the parliamentary group and of the National Council of the Liberal Party can be changed. They came to the talks with conditions, but we consider that this is an unpardonable way of negotiating,” said Valeriu Munteanu.
