The PL and PDM said the PLDM’s proposal for distributing the ministerial posts in the future government needs to be further discussed, Info-Prim Neo reports. PLDM first vice president Alexandru Tanase Wednesday told the journalists that one more important step was taken and the parties are to issue by a communiqué on how the negotiations go on Thursday evening. He stressed that the principle of continuity in distributing the ministerial positions is important for the PLDM. PDM vice president Valeriu Lazar said the PLDM’s offer is not complete and the distribution of posts in the new government was not discussed on Wednesday. He also said that the chances of forming a center-left or a center-right alliance remain 50-50. Asked about the PLDM’s proposal, the president of the PL Mihai Ghimpu said that it cannot be named proposal, but rather a viewpoint and that his party will not accept to have only two or three ministerial posts. Under the proposal made public by the president of the PLDM Vlad Filat on December 21, his party will hold 44% of the posts (7-8 ministries), while the PL and PDM will share the other 56% of positions. The Democratic leader Marian Lupu did not attend the December 22 meeting as he is sick according to press reports, while the PLDM president Vlad Filat did not come because he had some urgent business.
