Liberal-Democratic MP Vladimir Hotineanu will vote for the new Government regardless of the decision that will be taken by the parliamentary group of the PLDM as regards the investiture of the executive. His colleague Valeriu Giletski said his vote will depend on who is suggested for premiership and on the government program that this will propose.
Contacted by IPN, Vladimir Hotineanu said he does not want early legislative elections when polls show the parties of the center-right will lose votes. In each meeting of the PLDM, he said the Government must be supported so as to avoid early elections, but he wasn’t listened to. The PLDM has formed alliances with the Democratic Party since 2009. “Then the Democrats were good, but now they aren’t already?” asked the MP, noting he does not leave the Liberal-Democratic group, but will see what decisions his colleagues take about the vote.
Valeriu Giletski has told IPN that he long ago accepted the idea that the PDM could field the candidate for premiership and told his colleagues this at different meetings. He considers each of the members of the Liberal-Democratic group already took a decision as to how to vote and regrets that the PLDM’s administration was unable to correctly manage this crisis so as to keep the group integral.
Asked if he knows about possible defections from the group, the lawmaker said anything can happen at a meeting of the group that will take place this evening, starting at 5pm.
