The members of the Liberal-Democratic parliamentary group submitted a challenge to the Constitutional Court, requesting it to pronounce on the constitutionality of the Parliament decision of January 2016 by which the Filip Government was invested. According to Lib-Dem Grigore Cobzac, their request refers exclusively to the members of the Government who are suspected of involvement in the scheme to export anabolic steroids through the state-run company “Moldova’s Post Office”, IPN reports.

On a social networking site, the Liberal-Democratic MP wrote that Parliament, when it gave a vote of confidence to the Government, violated the procedure for checking the integrity of candidates and for investing the Government. “By this challenge, the Constitutional Court is subject to a test of objectivity and consistency because, in our argumentation, we point to similitude and make reference to the previous practice of the High Court,” wrote Grigore Cobzac.

At the start of June, the Liberal-Democratic parliamentary group initiated also a no-confidence motion against the Filip Government “following the involvement, covering and lack of action to counteract trafficking in anabolic steroids through “Moldova’s Post Office”.
