One fourth of the Moldovans working abroad want to return home to set up a business, Liberal-Democrat MP Veaceslav Ionita, the chairman of the parliamentary commission for economy, budget and finance, said in a news conference on April 21, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The data was presented in the context of the Liberal Democratic Party's initiative to simplify the start-up procedures by modifying the law on the state registration of legal entities and private businessmen. The PLDM announced that the initiative was submitted to the Parliament's Standing Bureau.
“The people who return home should not experience discomfort. Those who want to start a business must be offered support,” Veaceslav Ionita said.
“We consider that the people should not be obliged to declare the registered capital of 5,400 lei. In 95-98% of the cases when businesses are set up, the guaranteeing of capital is not obligatory, like in banking, brokerage and other kinds of activities.”
Moldova takes the 20th position of 27 Southeast European and Central Asia countries that were included in the business regulation rankings.
