Acting mayor general Silvia Radu, deputy mayor Ruslan Codreanu and the Socialist group on the Chisinau Municipal Council are planning the “reorganization” of the subdivisions of the City Hall in secret, without a legal and economic expertise and a preliminary public debate, trying thus to get rid of inconvenient functionaries. Such an accusation was made by the Liberal councilors. Asked by IPN to comment, Ruslan Codreanu said Liberals’ statements are aberrant.
In a press release, the Liberal councilors said Silvia Radu openly threatened some of the functionaries that if these didn’t tender their resignations, she would treat them as she knows best. Socialist councilor Eugenia Ceban is one of the authors of this secret scheme.
Ruslan Codreanu has told IPN that in 2015, when he served as municipal councilor, he submitted particular analyses, suggesting reorganizing the City Hall and particular divisions. “Analyses had been presented since 2007, but the administration of the Liberal Party simply ignored them, creating an inefficient octopus at the Chisinau City Hall,” he stated.
Ruslan Codreanu also said that as deputy mayor he does nothing but fulfill his duties with no revenge, demagogy or populism.
