The natural gas consumption in December 2022 was 101.8 million cubic meters, which is by about 42.2% less than in the corresponding period a year before. Against November 2022, the volume is by 38.7 million cubic meters or about 61.3% higher, IPN reports.
According to SA Moldovagaz, the residential users by December 31, 2022 paid 99.1% of the bills, down 0.4% by the same date a year before. Nonresidential users paid 99% of the bills, as in the corresponding period of 2021. The enterprises operating in the energy and heating sectors paid 99.9% of the bills, up 0.2% on a year before.
The residential users, in a number of 573,576 personal accounts, in December 2022 were calculated gas subsidies in the amount of 523.5 million lei. Additionally, for household users of dwellers’ associations totaling 9,848 consumption places, the calculated subsidies came to 8.6 million lei, depending on the energy vulnerability category of users.
The payments for natural gas consumption on December 31, 2022 totaled 12.329 billion lei and covered 99.3% of the amount of gas supplied in January-November 2022. The gas consumed last month is to be paid this month.
