MPs of the group of PAS/ACUM Lilian Carp and Galina Sajin want all amendments proposed by the parliamentarians, their speeches and the letters that come to them to be made public on the Parliament’s website. In this regard, the two MPs will register a legislative proposal to amend the Parliament’s regulations, IPN reports.
Galina Sajin told a news conference that the legislative initiative provides for the publication of the requests made by MPs and the given answers, the speeches of MPs and the statements made by them in Parliament.
“Parliament should tend to ensure transparency in its work and should forge a better tie with the voters, the people they represent,” stated Galina Sajin.
According to Lilian Carp, the people write complaints and letters addressed to the MPs and want to know when the letter entered Parliament by accessing the MP’s section. It is suggested publishing the content of the letter, the actions taken by the MP and the end result. “Regrettably, some of the letters remain without answers. We want the citizen to be able to see what each MP does and whose interests they defend in Parliament by one click,” stated the MP.
To take effect, the legislative proposal needs to be supported by 51 MPs.
